We have discussed as a family weekly goals and we trust Andrew to manage his goals each week and believe he should be able to choose what he works on each week given his big goals and his time frame. We calculated that if he earns 109 points in a week AND does his Writing Adventure pages then he has shown he is working hard enough to reach his goals and that will be how we determine if we celebrate weekly goals. On the flip side, if 109 points in 1 week is not earned OR does not complete the agreed upon Writing Adventure pages then according to his Declaration of Learning Independence he will work to catch up.
We discussed changing the Learning Plan and the Celebrations and Consequences Section of Andrew's DLI.
Instead of 109 points + 4 Writing Adventure pages per week, his new weekly goals are to earn 129 points/week.
For Weekly Goal Consequences: Andrew will work 30 minutes a day over the weekend on his Weekly Goals or until caught up before watching TV.
For Big Goal Consequences: Andrew will work 45 minutes a day, Every Day, until it is done before watching TV and No Playdates or Sleepovers until it is done.
Check-In Agenda: 1 - Question: What was the most exciting part of the day? 2 - HC Check In - update current (M-Th) or Reflect and choose next one (F) 3 - Set 1 SMART Goal for tomorrow a - Send SMART picture to Andrew@ 4 - Hugs to Close Out
We will check in after a week to see what additional boundaries, consequences, or celebrations we should build on to this

We have decided as a family to focus on establishing Heroic Habits and press pause on Big Goals until Andrew is ready.
